Do I have to be a member of the Australian College of Nursing to do the course?

No. All of the Series are open to all health professionals looking to further their career and become a leader in their role. If you are a member, you will receive a 10% discount. Find out if an Australian College of Nursing membership is right for you.

How can I access my course(s)?

To access your course, please follow the below steps:

  1. Check your inbox for The Leader’s Series enrolment confirmation email. If you have not received the email, please check your junk folder.
  2. Follow the link in the email or head to https://leadership.acn.edu.au.
  3. Log in using the email address with which you registered for the course.
  4. Click ‘Access My Course’ and select your course.

How can I stop receiving reminders if I no longer wish to complete the course?

Please contact the Leadership Team by emailing leadership@acn.edu.au.

What do I do if I haven't received an email confirming my access to the course?

Your confirmation email will be sent to the email address with which you registered for the course. If you have not received the email, please check your junk folder. If you still cannot find the confirmation email, please contact the Leadership Team at leadership@acn.edu.au.

What can I do if my course has expired?

Please contact the Leadership Team by emailing leadership@acn.edu.au.

How do I access my CPD certificate?

After you have completed all course modules you will receive a link to the course survey via email. Once you have submitted the survey, you will be emailed a link to download your certificate. If you have not received this email after completing the survey, please contact the Leadership Team at leadership@acn.edu.au.

What do I do if I have forgotten my username or password?

  1. Go to https://leadership.acn.edu.au.
  2. Click ‘Sign In’ in the upper right-hand corner of the page.
  3. Click ‘Forgot Username’ or ‘Forgot Password’.
  4. You will receive a link with your username or a link to reset your password.

How do I use a promotion code to purchase a course?

  1. Sign in or create an account.
  2. Click ‘The Leader’s Series’ and choose the course you would like to purchase.
  3. Click ‘Add to Cart’.
  4. Click the ‘Cart’ icon at the top right-hand corner of the page.
  5. Enter the promotional code and click ‘Apply’.
  6. Click ‘Submit Order’.
  7. You will receive an email confirmation of your purchase.
  8. Go to your course by clicking on the link in the email or the ‘Access My Course’ tab on the Institute of Leadership website and find The Leader’s Series course you have purchased.

When is the next intake for The Leader’s Series courses?

You can purchase and commence the courses at any time. The course content is self-directed, online and needs to be completed within 12 months, or six months for scholarship recipients.

How long does it take to complete each Series?

 

The Leader’s Mindset Series 1 (LM1) course content is self-directed, online and it is recommended to be completed within six months. The series is made up of 5 modules, each with 4 hours of content and requires a minimum of 20 hours of study across the entire series.

The Leader’s Mindset Series 2 (LM2) course content is self-directed, online and it is recommended to be completed within six months. The series is made up of 5 modules, each with varying hours of content and requires a minimum of 30 hours of study across the entire series.

The Leader’s Mindset Series 3 (LM3) course content is self-directed, online and it is recommended to be completed within twelve months, or six months for scholarship recipients. The series is made up of 5 modules, each with varying hours of content and requires a minimum of 30 hours of study across the entire series.

The Leader’s Communications Tool Kit Series course content is self-directed and online. The series is made up of 5 modules and is approximately 2.5 hours in total.

The Defining your Style Series course content is self-directed and online. The series is made up of 6 modules and is approximately 2.5 hours in total.

Do I have to hold an executive position to complete the Series?

No. The courses are open to all aspiring health and nurse leaders, and those wanting to take the next step in their career.

Do I need to do all modules in each of the Series?

No. Each of the Series, consists of modules; we recommend you complete the entire series; however, we understand time restraints can be a challenge. That is why each module can be purchased and completed separately.

Are the courses graded?

No. All content in each of the Series is provided via an on-demand video and accompanying work booklet. At the end of each course, you will be asked to tick a box to show you have completed the content. There are no exams or assessments, there is no grading.

Will I get CPD hours?

 

Yes, but only for The Leader’s Mindset Series 1, 2 and 3. Once you complete all 5 modules and a final survey, you will be awarded 20 CPD points for The Leader’s Mindset Series 1, 30 CPD points for The Leader’s Mindset Series 2, 30 CPD points for The Leader’s Mindset Series 3. You will also receive a certificate.

If you complete one module in The Leader’s Mindset Series 1, 2 or 3 and complete a final survey, you will be awarded CPD hours as allocated for each module. You will also receive a certificate.

The other two available Series; The Leader’s Communications Tool Kit Series and Defining your Style Series, do not count towards your continuing professional development requirements and you will not be awarded CPD hours, however they will empower your presence and leadership skills.
